Testing Solutions Group Simplify Their Web Requirements Using InfernoCMS
Testing Solutions Group provide international ISEB training for consultants all over the world, from Swindon, UK to Sydney, Australia. Their web presense is a key part of their business and a main port of call for candidates wanting to know when and where the next course will be held. InfernoCMS is helping to manage their website content as simply and as quickly as possible.
Testing Solutions original website was initially written using static files and held together with include files. This may have made day-to-day editing a bit quicker, but it was far from a simple fully managed content management system like InfernoCMS.
After outsourcing their original static website for several years, it soon became clear that their site had become far too big to manage on a day to day basis and that a more simple and elegant solution needed to be sourced.
Having been a key customer of GiraffeDog.net since 2001, and providing them with a complete IT solution from desktop and network support to remote support and website design, Testing Solutions Group Ltd instinctively approached them to undertake the development of their corporate web presence.
GiraffeDog.net had been developing their content management system; InfernoCMS for eight months already, and it's functionality was starting to come together. This was demonstrated to Testing Solutions Group who liked what they saw but had a few additional functionality requirements that they wanted integrated.
Bespoke Requirements
After initial meetings with Testing Solutions Group, GiraffeDog.net offered to produce a tailored version of InfernoCMS to handle their content management requirements which were as follows:
- Secure
- Easy to use
- Search Engine Optimised
- Scalable
- Accessible form any PC
- Reports of documents that have not been edited or approved in 30 days
- Reports of recent updates that have been undertaken by staff
- Had to integrate with a web design already provided by the client
- Site Search facility
Beta Testing
As part of the deal, Testing Solutions Group offered to provide independant testing for InfernoCMS and provide an unbiased report on it, which was used to further enhance the product.
Development Timeframe
Testing Solutions Group had recently instigated an across the board rebranding excercise that had a deadline of six months from the start, and as such we had to ensure that the website relaunch met this deadline as it is seen as a first port of call for their prospective clients.
GiraffeDog.net met this deadline and produced the taylored version of InfernoCMS on budget and on-time. The initial release of InfernoCMS went live for Testing Solutions Group in June of 2006 and they have been serving content for their visitors since.
