A Long Time Ago In A Development Dungeon Far, Far Away...
InfernoCMS is the product of several years intense development by GiraffeDog.net. Having initially been developed as a classic ASP application and being called gdCMSPro, it soon became clear that the best path to take was to rewrite it as a PHP solution. Our journey had started... and it wasn't going to be a short one!
GiraffeDog.net started with a blank text canvas way back in January 2006. Deciding from the beginning that currently available CMS solutions were either difficult to manage on a daily basis and that they didn't have the same "concept" for page control.
Our initial brief was simple:
"Design an easy to use WYSIWYG website content management system that did not take long to learn, whilst at the same time make sure it was search engine friendly as possible!" ... InfernoCMS was conceived.
